Handing over ceremony at Mponde Tea Factory 

 

 

On the 7th April ABCT handed over 78 bicycles, certificates, gumboots and raincoats to the peer educators at Mponde Tea Factory who participated successfully in the ABCT training workshop.

 

 

 

 

A speech was given by Mr. Shadad Mullah, the managing director of Tanzania Tea and Coffee Blenders, who promised to implement this project for a better health provision of his tea workers and farmers.

 

 

 

UTEGA-farmers filling in questionnaires for the KAPB-survey. Though it is the aim of the survey to find out every participant's individual perceptions, participants sometimes help each other in case they have not understood the questions properly.

 

 

 

 

 

UTEGA Farmers and the survey conductor, Miriam Reinwarth, are discussing issues around gender, health and HIV and AIDS. This survey method can provide a deeper and more personal insight into participant's status of knowledge, attitudes and practices and can reveal sometimes surprising insights which otherwise may not be taken into account by using a paper-based questionnaire.
