Good practices for better HIV programmes
Scania Tanzania Limited has launched its Workplace Policy on HIV/AIDS .The occasion held on 8th December 2006 was officiated by the Company's Human Resource Manager, Ms Rehema Chanimbaga at Scania's offices located along Nyerere road in Dar es Salaam.Others graced the event were:- Scania Tanzania Limited ,Managing Director, Mr Anders Liss, representatives from AIDS Business Coalition in Tanzania and Association of Tanzania Employers.
Scania Tanzania Limited workplace policy aims at providing a framework for strategies of preventing, controlling and mitigating the impact of HIV/AIDS.
Scania Tanzania diplomats also performs the role of representing the staff to the management on issues related to HIV/Aids. The four chosen diplomats are Mr David Gwamwanza, Mr Martin Yamo, Ms Margaret Chagula & Mrs Joyce Mayagila. These Diplomats' other duties will be coordinating all annual programmes. They will be the peer educators among other employees.
Scania Tanzania is among the companies that have joined together to establish a workplace policy that is an integral part of HIV/AIDS preventing strategy.
In order to eradicate,control or prevent and sensitize on the HIV/AIDS impact in companies.
STANDARD CHARTERED BANK HAD UNDERGONE BEYOND WORKPLACE WORKSHOP FOR ITS CLIENTS.
They conducted a day workshop called "Beyond Big Business" for SMEs.
