ABCT publishes a newsletter, if funds are available, maintains a website and provides services as resource Center. Members can retrieve HIV/AIDS information, program promotion materials, Work aides for workplace programs and related research materials. ABCT also provides all necessary trainings for a successful workplace program like the training of peer educators, training for the management of HIV workplace programs for coordinators, specific technical trainings, e.g. nutrition and home gardening, home based care and sensitization campaigns for the whole staff of a company or business. ABCT also provides advisory services and technical assistance for workplace programmes through visits and face-to-face-communication. Thus, a quality auditing of the workplace programs is given. For the transfer of good practice examples and problem solutions, ABCT arranges exchange forums for companies and the public sector and with other business coalitions.
ABCT is providing the expertise and contacts regarding HIV and Aids at the workplace that the business community is often missing. Ideally we support our members from the first assessment of the respective company to the establishment of a solid data basis (e.g. status of Knowledge, Attitude, Practice and Behavior Surveys) to the setting up of a fully fledged Workplace Program.
